“Hello and welcome!”
“Pleasant style, understands our type of business. Endurance. Great sense for nuances, Interpretation rather than translation when necessary [I’m not sure if you could use this expression in English as in Dutch]. Good company! Likes Sushi :-) ”
Geesje Falke, formerly of Clear, London & Amsterdam
“I worked with Simon Hamilton on a project interviewing French consumers for a Danish client. Simon was incredibly professional, and you could tell he has many years of experience in this line of work. He did simultaneous translation, conveying all the tonalities and nuances of the respondent's tone of voice, but in a swift and discrete manner. This is particularly important to us, as we want to draw as little attention as possible to the translation, and aim to create a dynamic and lively interview situation. Another great thing about working with Simon was that he quickly familiarized himself with the interview's subject matter and all the technical terms involved. All in all, working with him was a very pleasant and positive experience.”
Mr. Simon 在執行翻譯工作前，預先參加 briefing 的會議，了解調查設計及釐清翻譯用字上的問題，對客戶得到正確翻譯資訊有很大的幫助。且在翻譯的語意及語調上都忠實反應座談會受訪者的語言，是值得推薦的同步口譯專業人員。

“I've worked with Simon Hamilton for almost 10 years. What I like most is his reliability, his on-time delivery, his thoroughness, and the excellence of his translations: no mistakes and a very clear understanding of the text (and if he's not sure he doesn't hesitate to contact you). His style is precise, concise and very professional, something that my clients (marketing and other directors) like.
Although I have less need for him as simultaneous interpreter, I've seen him work and like the way he does it: fast and exhaustive. As a bonus, Simon is a nice person and easy to get on with.”
Béatrice Grange, Director of Philomarque
“Other than the quality of Simon's translations, which is remarkable, it's his willingness and good disposition, even under the most daunting time-tables…
And what about his kind comments politely pointing out a rather tortured sentence, where the English version is clearer and more to the point than the original!
As to simultaneous interpreting of focus groups, Simon has always gained the unanimous approval of those behind the one-way mirror…
So there you have it: one satisfied customer!”
(With the following afterthought...)
“To which I could have added:
Apart from his almost missing a train for Lyon when for some bizarre reason he went to Montparnasse instead of Lyon station, I have worked with Simon for 15 years without the slightest hiccup!!!!”
Hélène Luong, Director of Bubbles
“Simon is one of those people you're very lucky to meet in business!
Our work together has always been a success, whether for written translation or simultaneous interpreting:
- He is professional, fast and punctual.
- He is easy to get on with, communicative and reassuring. Simon's sense of human relations is excellent, and he is our first choice for any research involving client contact.
- His knowledge of both languages is excellent, and any ambiguity [in written translation] is dealt with professionally: he asks.”
Didier Laporte, Former Associate Director of eQual, Paris
“Simon delivers everything you’d hope for in a simtrans. He’s an excellent translator, professional, personable and charismatic. The quality of his translation is as good at the end of the day as it is at the beginning - no mean feat! I have no hesitation in recommending him.”
Sarah Tuxford, of Sarah Tuxford Research

With his linguistic and cultural expertise as well as social and networking skills he helped us turn these projects into a success. Above all, his practical and jovial approach was always helpful and much appreciated.”

“A quick message to thank you for your great work on the 'X' research!
We had the clients on the phone today and they were very pleased with everything. And it's partly due to you and your team's professionalism that we managed to stay on top of the challenge.
Looking forward to working with you again!”
Nacima Abbane, Love Brands
“Simon is a delight to work with. Not only are his interpreting skills at the highest level, his insight into respondents' non verbal responses ensures a deeper level of understanding. His knowledge of French society and his ability to work closely with the moderator makes the whole process so much more professional and trouble-free.”

“I have known Simon Hamilton for fifteen years. He was a freelance translator for INIST-CNRS (Institut de l’Information Scientifique et Technique at the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique) when I worked at this institute in the 1990s. He was responsible for translating and proof-reading texts on a variety of subjects.
Simon’s work has always been accurate and very professional. He has an excellent standard of English and French and always submitted his work on time.
In summary, Simon is a very pleasant person to work with. I highly recommend him for any business or endeavour that he may seek to pursue. He will be a valuable asset for any organization.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.”

International market research is almost by definition an English-language profession, and most of our interpreters are used to working into English. However, we pride ourselves in providing as many language combinations as possible, for example not only Italian, German, Korean, etc., but also accent, some prefer American, others BBC. Getting it right is quite simple really: ask for what you want! Let us do the rest.
• Screeners and questionnaires
• Moderation guides…
Most of our translation is between English and French. However, for our clients needing translation into the more exotic languages, we have put together a dream-team of translators and MR revisers. This is how it works: the document is first translated by a tried and tested translator into the relevant language, and then sent to a market research practitioner of the language in question - whether Russian, Flemish or Brazilian Portuguese - for the finishing touch. Result: a fluent document that reads as it should.
